Marion Miley (1914-1941)
On October 5th. The WWGA will posthumously honor Marion Miley with the 2023 Woman of Distinction Award. She won every elite amateur tournament including the WWGA Amateur Championship in 1935 and 1937. Her murder at age 27 made headlines around the world. In 1941 WWGA Directors created a gold bracelet in memory of Marion. Today this trophy is awarded to the low qualifier in the WWGA Amateur and Junior Championships.

Beth Daniel
Throughout her career, Beth was recognized as having one of the purest golf swings! Her 29-year career brought 41 professional wins including 33 LPGA Tour wins, four ‘LPGA of Japan Tour’ wins and four other wins. In 2000, she was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
