Marion Miley (1914-1941)

Marion Miley will be honored as our 2023 Woman of Distinction

This year’s award is being presented posthumously to Marion Miley.

She won every elite amateur tournament including the WWGA Amateur Championship in 1935 and 1937.

Marion and her mother were murdered on September 28, 1941, in an apartment at Lexington (Kentucky) Country Club, she was 27. Her death made headlines around the world.

In 1941 WWGA Directors created a gold bracelet in memory of Marion.
