The 122nd Women’s Western Golf Association’s National Amateur Championship is now in the history books. Taglao Jeeravivitaporn, Thailand, captured the 122nd WWGA Amateur Championship at Sunset Ridge Country Club in a thrilling comeback Saturday afternoon. She became the third Thai player in tournament history to win the coveted W.A. Alexander Cup, joining current LPGA players Ariya Jutanugarn (2012) and Chakansim "Fai" Khamborn (2015).

The week began with 120 players and after two days of qualifying for 32 spots and completing four rounds of match play, number 3-seed Taglao Jeeravivitaporn, Thailand (143) and the number 32-seed Annabelle Pancake, Zionsville, Ind. (151) are the last players standing.

Between two late afternoon rain delays and several major upsets, chaos ensued throughout the first two rounds of match play from the beginning to the end of the day.

Sadie Engelmann is the Medalist for the 122nd Women’s Western Amateur. The Stanford junior carded seven birdies in the second round en route to shooting 70-68-138 at Sunset Ridge Country Club.
