The JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP (one of the oldest junior tournaments in the country) was introduced in 1920 for girls 17 years of age and younger.  With the exception of a few years during World War II, this event has been held consecutively.


Entries are open to amateur girls who 1) are 18 years of age or younger who have not reached 19 years of age by July 17, 2015, 2) have an up-to-date 18-hole USGA Handicap Index not to exceed 18.4 under the USGA Handicap System, and 3) are not college or university students.


Match Play: 36-hole stroke play qualifying round to establish Flights.
Tournament played at Scratch. 

Championship Flight  -  Low 32 qualifiers.  Consolation in all Flights.


Entry Fee  -  $170.00

Field limited to 96 players.

Entries should be submitted early to allow for acceptance on a first-come, first-served basis.

Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted.

Entries will be notified of acceptance or wait list.

Entries are subject to approval or rejection at any time by the WWGA Junior Tournament Committee.

$25.00 administrative fee withheld for cancellations of accepted entries on or before June 29.

No refunds for cancellations after June 29.

Icely Cup  -  Champion. The champion’s name will be inscribed on the trophy.

Ann S. Upchurch Trophy  -  Finalist. The finalist’s name will be inscribed on the trophy.

Medalist  -  Lowest gross score from the 36-hole qualifying round.

Marion Miley Bracelet  -  Junior player having the lowest combined gross score from the qualifying rounds of the 2015 WWGA Amateur and Junior Championships.

Medals  -  Champion, Finalist and Semifinalists. Flight winners and Consolation winners.
